Pack your bags: Isola d'Elba

Gooood morning everybody!
Happy last day of August!
As you probably saw from my instagram page, I was on holiday, in an amazing island of Italy, Elba Island.
I took so many naps, cradled by the waves of the sea, I read a book and a half (The All-Girl Filling Station's Last Reunion, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea), I thought a lot about my life, I did many crosswords, and I swam in wonderful seas.
I really couldn't ask for more from this summer.

After a trip of 3/4 hours (I don't remember), we arrived in Piombino, we took the ferry and we arrived in Elba Island (we took the ticket of the ferry in advance, so we took the ferry almost in time...)

This is what I've learnt: for swimming in a beautiful sea, you have to see in which direction the wind blows.
The first day we went to the beach "La Biodola": the sea was very very good, and we had a very relaxing time...

The second day, because of the wind, we went to the beach called "Sansone", the weather forecast weren't good, but we decided to go to the beach anyway....and we were very very lucky! because we were almost alone in the most beautiful beach of the island....

Mr, my brother-in-law and I swam and arrived to the huge rocks you see in the middle of the photo. The water were fantastic, sea bottom were amazing, we swam through fishes, some of them looked like Nemo!

....this was a very very cool beach!
I left my heart here!

Nothing interesting but life

And so happy happy Friday!!!
Yesterday morning I took a stroll with my camera. I'm so so so happy of this week off of work.
Don't misunderstand me, I like working, but I think that a work of 8 hours for 5 days in a week makes our lives too busy....

By the way, I enjoyed this week, because:
- I had afternoon naps
- I watched "Gossip Girl" before falling asleep
- I cooked a lot of vegetables
- I had dinners with friends
- I run
- I had my "holiday breakfast" with cereal
- I lived my life

I'm working for my Professor, but being ay home is one of the most wonderful things!

Holiday!

Goooood morning, my dear friends!!!
I'm on holiday!!!
Yahooooooooooo!!!
I cannot be happier!!!!

It's finally fresh here. It was soooo hot, so muggy....I didn't feel fine, there were 21 shirts that were waiting for me to be ironed, I did nothing because I was always tired and I was interesed in nothing.
Today is different.
I'm at home, it's fresh, and there's a week ahead that waits for me!!!

Early mornings

This morning I woke up very early. It's hot and I cannot sleep.
So I opened the window and I saw something like a sunrise.
This is the time of birds: they wake up in the morning before us, and I imagine their life is better when we're sleeping.

First day of calm

Happy Monday and happy August!
So today I'm not at work.
July had been a very very busy and heavy month. i worked a lot, under pressure, I cried, and I hadn't had some me-time.
Today I'm at home because I'm tired, and I have to switch off with work.
I'm sure this is not MY work, you know what I mean.

So, today I'm at home and I have so many things to do!
- I have to cook a ragu
- I have to clean the house because on Saturday night we had a party with our cousins
- I have to do some gardening
- I have to do some manicure
......

Yesterday I walked for amost 10 km.
It was such a beautiful day!!!!

....welcome 30s!

It's a very hot day here in Padua.
I woke up this morning and I am 30.
Yeah, 30.
Eveything is like yesterday when I was 29, of course. But, hey, now I'm 30.
I found a lot of sweet happy-birthday-wishes around the house.
Our plants wish me happy birthday, our cups, our sugar, our tv, my smartphone, my pc, our mirror...everything.
This is the first birthday that Mr and celebrate under the same roof.
Well, it started in the best way ever!!!

I'm quite happy of what I am.
Sometimes I could be more patient, more tolerant, more a-lot-of-things...but I'm working on it.
I live with the man of my life, I have a great family and good friends.
I have some great colleagues and a work.
I'm fine.
I can swim when outside is hot.
I run when I want to put out negativities and because it makes me feel exhausted but so so fine.
I cook everyday I try something new.
I read and I leave my reality and I fly to another one.
I take photos, and that's the best thing in the world, to me.

My first shoot

Last Saturday I had my first shooting!!!
Let's start from the beginning....
I have a cousin, that is studing fashion and design in Bologna, and one exam she had to do, was create 4 items of clothing, and taking photos of them. And she wanted me as photographer!
I'm very proud of her! She did a very great job with the clothes she has created! (here's her website: http://checcacip.wix.com/effe-ci#!about-me/cfvg )
The setting had to be sad and dark.
