Two weeks

And so, here I am.
I'm writing from my kitchen.
It's weird, let me tell you.
I told you I cried a river the Saturday we moved in, because I left my old life. Nobody told me that part of moving in, but I discovered that everyone passed through it.
Packing your old life (almost 30 years), well it's not easy.
But then Sunday came, and I woke up in our house.
And suddenly a week has passed by.
We celebrated our 7th anniversary with a travel in Bruges and Bruxelles.
Internet came into our house.
The first cake has been baked.
The first movie has been seen (Shrek 3rd).
The first sun dried our clothing.
We went to our first grocery shopping.
The first flower has bloomed.
And this house is turning into a home.

"Well, it's like being on holiday"

Well, almost everything is done. Tomorrow after work, I'm going to pack the most part of my things, my dresses, my shoes, my books, and my plants.
And then I'm going to start a new chapter of my life.
A lot of people told me that I'm going to argue with my Mr, because life together isn't easy.
Well, to be honest I argue with my mom, and with my sister, because life together wasn't easy.
And I love them.
Why shouldn't I argue with Mr? I love him...
Other people told me that living together is great. You have to start your life together, and this isn't the most easy thing to do, but....what about all the other things?
Waking up together
Cooking for him
Cleaning up the house with him
Making plans with him
Being a little family

A friend of mine, when my mom asked him about living together he said: "Well, it's like being on holiday".
And I always thought it's a great way for thinking about a life together.

Last Saturday, when Mr and I were cleaning "our" house, we told each other that it was like being on holiday.
For now, this is what we think...

......if you have some advice for a good and loooong life together.....well, you're welcome!!!

Life is good

via
So, yesterday Mr and I spent the whole day cleaning "our" house. My mum helped us, and this has been a huge help.
We're moving in a house that has a kitchen, two bathrooms, a bedroom, a room, and a living room. It's big.
Yesterday we cleaned the whole house, and so, starting from today, we're going to fill it with our stuff.
We have the keys of the apartment but we're going to start our new life together in that house, on Saturday 21st, because we want to do all the things with calm.

We're ready for huge dinners with family and friends.
I cannot wait for baking cakes for my Mr.
I've been dreaming for so long for movie-night-on-sofa.
I smile if I think about our doorbell with our surnames.
And now, this is going to really happen.

Thank you to all of you for your nice comments!!and for your wishes!
:)
This blog community is really good... :)

Happy Valentine's day!!

I promise then,
to kiss her
1 million times
before I died,
50 a day
for the rest of my life.

And when I was gone,
as old men go,

she could smile,
with her old eyes
knowing there wasn't a place
on her
I missed

-ATTICUS-

Happy Valentine's day!!

drum roll......

....Mr and I are finally moving together!!!
On Saturday we signed for a house for rent, and starting from February 14th, we are going to live together!

Happy? yes, totally.
Tired? yes, do you know that looking for a house, buying all you need in a house, is amazing but stressful?
Sad? yes, a little. I'm a bit sad for the kind of life I'm leaving. The life of my "last" 29 years. I'm excited for what the future is going to give me, but I'm very grate for all the things my past donated me.
I talked with some friends, and they all say that this is normal....this feeling stands for a day, and then...you're into your new life!!!

On our Valentines Day Mr and I will clean our house, and I couldn't imagine a better way to spend this day.

PROJECT 52: 5/52 The Kiss, in Padua

Well, I know I have already talked to you about an artist that create wonderful artworks in my city (he's something like Banksy in NY)
He's Kennyrandom, and, let me tell you, he's great.
Nobody knows his face, his artwork are made in the night, he has to work fast, and it's so wonderful waking up in the morning and see his last artwork.

"The Kiss", is probably the one I like most...I like that she's on tiptoe for kissing her mysterious man...

Discovering Veneto: Possagno (la Gipsoteca)

Before visiting the museum with a lot of plaster works made by Antonio Canova, Mr and I took a little stroll around Possagno.
It was a warm January Sunday afternoon, the sky was blue, and it was fine spending some time outside!

Then we started visiting the gipsoteca (a museum where plaster works are collected), and probably for the second time, Mr and I had a guide...well, probably you already know this, but visiting a museum with a guide is wonderful: we were so interested, we were fascinated by Antonio Canova's story, and by his huge talent.
A part of the house where Canova lived
Unfortunately, we couldn't take photos inside the gipsoteca (I just took these two, but "Le tre grazie" isn't the real one!)

Dedalo e Icaro- This was the first sculpture (and the only real sculpture that is set in this museum) made by Antonio Canova. Antonio's father died when Antonio was young, and he was raised up by his grandfather that teached him everything about sculpture. With this artwork he won a competition.

We really had a great time, and if you want to spend a good afternoon, well, this place is waiting for you!

Useful informations:
Gipsoteca: here you find the timetable
For some weekends, ifyou visit the gipsoteca at 11 a.m. or at 4 p.m. you can have the guide adding 1€ to the ticket price (10,00 €)

PROJECT 52: 4/52 Poupette at a party

For Christmas I present a necklace to my sister.
This necklace, is long and, as a pendant, there's a little lady with a black and white dress.
My sister named her "Poupette". And now Poupette is having a very busy life.
On Saturday night she had a party, and she celebrated my uncle's 60th birthday.

Yep! it's a little bit blurred! But she had just a little time for me....

Discovering Veneto: Possagno (Tempio Canoviano)

Mr and I always wanted to visit Possagno, I had to try my new lens (Nikon 50mm, f1.8, wonderful!!!) and so and last Sunday, it seemed the perfect afternoon for our little trip.
Plus, I found a very nice post about this city, in Silvia's amazing blog, i diari della lambretta.
So, we took the car and we drove to this tiny city...
This city is known because Antonio Canova, the best sculptor of the neoclassicism, built Tempio Canoviano, and because a lot of the plastic works that he did when he was alive are now collected in his house.
At first we visited Tempio Canoviano that is a church (a very wonderful church), and then we visited his house with a guide (best thing ever!!!).

Here's some photos of Tempio Canoviano:

A portrait of Antonio Canova inside the Tempio Canoviano

We decided that it was good visiting the dome...

Mantua - Palazzo Te

As I told  you, more or less a week ago, my Mr and I visited Mantua.
The only museum that was open on Monday was Palazzo Te. I think I can find some inspiration for the ceiling of our future house.... :D

Mantegna's house

San Sebastiano Church

To be honest, I dream a garden like this.... ;)

As you can see, I feel comfortable in huge spaces.... :)

And so, we came back home....with a wonderful sunset!

If I can give you an advice, visit Mantua! it's wonderful!
But remember, not on Mondays! ;)
Have a wonderful week!

PROJECT 52: 2/52 Mailbox

ISO 1600, 46mm, f/5,3, 1/640, Nikon, Lens 18-55mm, Mailbox
I love receiving mail, "real" mail: postcards, letters, my magazine....so, I look at the other mailboxes, and I like them... :) This mailbox was in an old house, it is inhabited, and I thought it was interesting because of its colour and it reminds me a tiny house....
I wish you a very good week!
