Mantua (part 1)

As you probably saw on Instagram, Mr and I want to do more travels this year. And this is why we started our year visiting a new city.
On Monday we drove to Mantua, a wonderful city of Northen Italy. We are really lucky, because we can visit a lot of (amazing) places without driving too much.
So, when we have to see some new city, I feel like a child. I format the SD card of my camera, I load the battery, and I'm ready to go. :)
Life isn't made of simple things?

Just a few things, if you wanna visit Mantova: don't visit it on Mondays because ALMOST EVERYTHING is closed, for everything I mean museum, Mantegna's house, ... the only place we visit was Palazzo Te and Palazzo San Sebastiano.
Here's some photos of the city!

PROJECT 52: 1/52 Balconies in Padua

Thanks to this wonderful lady, this year I'm starting a photography project.
I'm gonna take a photo every week, and I'm gonna share it here with you.

Here's the first one for this brand new 2015!

 ISO: 1600, f 5/6, 1/320 sec, 3 balconies in Padua

I took this photo in the a street of Padua, the city I live.
When I started using my camera, I discovered a new world full of details that I've never seen before. So I started changing my "point of view", I look up, look down, above, below...and my camera give me back what I see.
Welcome to "my" world!

A walk in Lienz

Talking about our little trip in Lienz, on Sunday we had a huge breakfast, and we have to walk, and we went to see the castle, by day!
Lienz is a small but very cute city!
We had a great time,we ate Austrian food (that is always a gooood idea) and we breathed Christmas air!!!
There were no snow, but for me it really was cold!

2014 you've been good to us!

And this is the real truth!
It started not in a very good way....I was without a job, and my Mr had fixed-term contract (of 3 months)...

...12 months later, he has an open-ended contract, I have an apprenticeship contract, and we bought a car.
During this year, we visited Amsterdam, (and I fell in love with that city), I turned 29 in Austria, we swam in paradise beaches in Elafonissi, I run a loooot, one of my best friends got married, my "brother" got married.

Yesterday morning I was driving to my work, the streets were desert, and I was listening to this song, I turned the volume up....and I was about to cry thinking about all the things I have.
I think that dark periods are necessary in our lives, so we can understand what really matters, and place a value on little things: all the nicknames my love gives to me, my mum that asks my advice for a new cross-stitch work, my sister's happines for snow, my friends that always make me feel so so so lucky just because they wish me a good day, in a very normal day, my colleagues that are going to consider me as a colleague, and not as "the new one", my blog friends, because are the best thing that this blog give me!

So....what about 2015? well, I hope I'll be able to find joy in little things, I hope to start a new little family with my Mr (living together!), I want to improve my photography, and I hope everyone realize their desire!

I wish you a very very very happy New Year, I hope you'll realize all you really want and need, I hope you'll never feel alone, and I hope you have a good friend you can talk to whatever happen to you. I hope you can visit that country you've always dreamt about, I hope you cook the best dinner ever, I wish you take the most beautiful photo, I wish you give the most passionate kiss to that wonderful guy, I hope you enjoy a good dinner with friends, I wish you die laughing, I wish you watch the best movie ever, I wish you had fun reading a book, I wish you smell the best flower, I wish you never stop trying, and never stop smiling.
Happy 2015 my friends!

Lienz by night

This has been a very busy period. I was waiting for Christmas for having a little bit of calm, for taking my time, for relaxing.
But my body knows what's better for me, before than me.
That's why I'm sick. I've got the fever. And there's only 2 days to Christmas!!! :( I wait for Christmas the whole year, and when it arrives I got sick. :(

By the way, I now have some me-time, hoping this fever goes away soon! And what's better than a morning spent on my blog?

On December 13th and 14th, Mr and I spent a weekend in Lienz with some friends to see Christmas Markets.
Markets were small, but cute, we ate a lot of Austrian foods, and we had a great time. We arrived and we took a look at the Christmas markets, then we went to see the Castle! We hoped to visit it the day after, but it's closed until May 22nd....
Here's some photos!

Thank you

And so, here we are.
In what I think is the most beautiful month of the year.
In the last month of the year.
So, nothing is happening, but the fact that I'm very happy.

I'm celebrating my new work with all my friends, my family, everyone.
I would love to take a tea with you too. I would love to bake a cake and talk for hours with my friend Amanda, about photography, about running, about how is life with a husband, and so on....with Rosa asking something about pregnancy, vegan diet, and shopping, and with Sarah that surely would suggest me some wonderful places to visit.
I think the new job is just an excuse, because since I "met" these wonderful ladies I thought  it would be great meeting them in real life!I "celebrate" with you here, because I cannot come to your houses with a cake and a bottle of wine!
...but, you know, never say never! :)

15 days to Christmas!

We had a loooong weekend, and, let me tell you, I really needed it.
I took a lot of time with my Mr, I bought a new smartphone (the one I had was broken) we went to see a volleyball match, we ate pizza, we fell asleep on the sofa, and we saw some houses for rent.
I like the house #2, he likes house #4, so I think we will fall in love for the house #6, or #7....you know!
But, I like having this kind of problems!I like thinking about our future home: "where can we set the table?", or "where can we set our bed?" and "what about the mirror in the bath?" Nice, isn't?

And on Monday we decorate our Christmas tree!!! it's so woooooonderful!!!!!!! not because it's mine, but I really love this period of the year!

I love this video, it's by John Lewis, I love sharing it with you, because it's great....

Norwegian girl

Saturday I was doing some shopping and I ask my Mr if he likes me with this hat.
He said that I look like a Norwegian girl.
I thought it was "yes".
