What I eat: eggplant balls
Happy Saturday everyone!
So, yesterday I spent my afternoon in the kitchen, I cooked my first ragù (it was really good, approved by my mum, my sister and my brother-in-law), and then I cooked eggplantballs!
And I tought "Why can't I join the thousand food bloggers?"
And here's my first food post! :)
How to cook eggplantballs!
YOU'LL NEED.... (4 people)
2 big eggplants
50 gr of basil
50 gr of parmesan (or something more, it depends how fix you want to have it)
50 gr cup of bread crumbs (or something more, it depends how fix you want to have it)
DIRECTIONS:
wash your eggplants, cut them in big pieces, and put them in a pot with water and salt.
cook them until they are soft (yesterday they took 1 hour)
pour your eggplants in a colander so the water can go away from your vegetables (lay your eggplants in the colander for 2 or 3 hours)
put your eggplants in a mixing bowl, add parmesan, bread crumbs, and basil cut in little pieces
mix everything
create little balls
fry them
We ate them with tomatos, with cheese, you can eat them with what you want!
Hope you enjoy them, if you cook them, let me know if you like it!

Splendor in the Grass
I'm listening to Pink Martini, Hang on little tomato, I discovered this song 10 minutes ago, and this is the 3rd time I'm listening to it....
Outside it's pouring, it's cold, and it looks like an October Saturday morning, not an August morning.
So, this is the perfect time for a blog post!
Yesterday, when the weather looked like an August day, my sister and her husband, and Mr and I hiked out in Colli Euganei, in Valsanzibio
I took with me my little camera, but there were something that didn't work with colours...I took anyway some photos (I have to understand what's happened to her!), and here's our hike!

A week in the middle of August
So, this week started in very good way:
On Sunday I spent the whole morning inside a bookstore.
I would have bought so many books...I feel like I need reading. I have to nose some new books, because they smell so good.
In this last period of time, I'm looking at the cover of the books with more attention. I like the photos, I like the font, I know that this is a marketing strategy, but I think they are doing a great job.
So, I came out of the bookstore with 3 books: the first was a present for a friend, the second was a present for my-future-kitchen and for my photography (it's the book of this wonderful lady.... and the book I bought is this....I cannot wait for baking some of her wonderful cookies!), and the third was a gift for me....the last Jane Austen's book! (I have to read Sanditon, it is the last one I have to read!).
Then we had a party for Mr's birthday.
On Monday I run, and in the evening I met with my University friends: we had a dinner together and I had a great time with them. I always have a great time with them.
On Tuesday I ate a wonderful chocolate ice-cream strolling around with my Mr, talking about our future together, our house, our next travels.....
I am sad for Robin Williams: to me, he was the actor of my childhood, and he will always be this for me, with Hook, Mrs Doubtfire, Dead Poets Society, Good Will Hunting, What Dreams May Come, Patch Adams....
Etichette:
Agosto,
August,

thank you books

I wanna see a lot of falling stars, tonight
Good morning!!
In these days I've been a little busy, because my Mr turned 30, and I bought 30 little presents to him!
Crazy? Yes, I am.
But I love him, and watching at him while he was opening his presents...well, was wonderful!
Yesterday at sunset I was sitting in what I like to call "my porch" (it's just a terrace...) next to my lemon tree, and while a gentle wind was blowing, I thought "How lucky I am! I have soooo many good things."
I thought that I wanna get old, sit in my porch, next to my lemon tree in the sunset, with a gentle wind that blow my grey hair with my Mr by my side, and think "How lucky we've been in our lives!".
It's a promise that I do to myself!
Life lately has been good. Now I'm out off work for two weeks, so I'm going to blog a little bit more!
I have so many things to do, so many people to see...
I think this August is gonna be legen...wait for it...dary!!!
Tonight, I think I'm going to watch the sky, to see some falling stars...I love watching at the sky by night, universe is huge and great!
I promise, no more post about my toughts...for a while! :)

In this month I think....
In these days, I'm thinking a lot
I think that reading a good book is a great way for spending quality time.
I think that a kiss in a summer afternoon under the sun, is wonderful.
I think that the next time I go to the hairdresser, I should change the colour of my hair, but when I'm there I always ask for "the same"
I think that I should step on puddle even when I'm not running...today I was running, and there were so many puddles...I step on them....and I felt like a girl, again!
I think that I should visit Iceland, Scotland, Finland....
I think I should take more photos
I think that these two are brilliant
I think that tomatoes with basil and mozzarella is the perfect summer lunch
I think that I had a great birthday (thank you everybody!)
I think that I should see some people moooore than I do!

Hey honey, take a walk on the wild side*
The second day Mr and I took a loooong walk through nature!
Sometimes we were silent, and we left nature talking for us, I took photos of working bees, I saw so many flowers, and walking kissed by the sun next to my Mr, was all I needed for my birthday!
*of course, here is where this title comes from....

This is where I turned 29....
I'm back, and I'm one year older!
For my 29th birthday, my sweet Mr took me to Austria!
So, we were into Nature for 3 days, and now, I woul love to live there!
We stayed in a good hotel, in Kartitsch, that was a little village, it reminded me the one of Heidi...
I cannot stop taking photos, I was so happy, so in love with that trees, with that houses, with that green grass, with that wide valleys...
I celebrate my birthday in a fantastic bakery, it is called "Kofler", and they have the best cakes in the world... :)
