Blue Lagoon

We arrived in Reykjavik in the evening of Monday 27th, and in the morning of Thuesday 28th the first thing we saw was the Blue Lagoon: we decided we had to take some rest, so we booked in advance our visit there.
The Blue Lagoon is next to Keflavik airport, where we arrived. It's easy to find this place.
We booked our visit in Blue Lagoon because availability is limited.
We went to Blue Lagoon at 9:00 a.m., the first entrance, and it was great.
The water is so blue, it's so hot, it's a very magical place for spending some quite hours.
Here's what Blue Lagoon offers with the standard option (that we chose): a sauna and a steam room, the waterfall, and a silica mud mask.
Of course Mr and I tried everything :)
We brought our own towels and slippers.
I took the camera with me, and I had no problem with it: I left it in a locker that is really safe.
Pay attention with your hair: if you put them they will be frizzy and not smooth even if you wash them for the next days!

Good morning my friend!
So these are lazy days.
Today and tomorrow I'll be home from work, and I'm going to have some me time, just writing some posts about all the places we're discovering in this period.

On Sunday, Mr and I went to Cison di Valmarino: a little town in Treviso where there were Artigianato Vivo, and exhibit of a lot of artisans.
We went to the town for the exhibition, but even because this town is almost in the mountains, and there are some good walk to do.
Here's some photos of the lovely town of Cison di Valmarino, that I took when we whad a little stroll.

***********************************************************************************

Buongiorno a tutti!
Proprio brave!
Questa è la "mia" Cison:
I wanna live here - Non vorreste vivere qui?
#teamporticine - lovely balconies
I love plants outside the door and the window - Quanto mi piace vedere le piante fuori dai balconi e dalle porte
I don't know why, but I like so much this kind of houses - Non so perchè ma mi piacciono un sacco queste case

Iceland - our itinerary

And here we go with our honeymoon.
Iceland.

Why Iceland?
 BEFORE LEAVING:
- well, because we saw so many wonderful photos, and we decided that it was a very good place to visit
- it's easy to organize by your own
- it's a safe place to visit

BACK HOME:
- because you really see that Nature has the power in Iceland, and it's so strong
- it's a very quiet place to visit (we left our luggage in the car everyday and we never had a problem)
- you will say "ooooh" more then once in a day
- I saw icebergs, a whale, 3 seals, a geyser, never-ending-days, a waterfall that has an average water flow of 400 m3/s, boiling mud, I tasted a piece of ice, coming from an iceberg, that was made with water that had more then 1000 years and I went into a glacier....is this enough? :)

ACCOMODATION:
So, here's our itinerary (we looked for hotels where breakfast were included in the price, and that had a private bathroom ):
- On June 27th and 28th we stayed in Reykjavik at Hlemmur Square (we choose the hotel option, great breakfast, and great hotel); on June 28th we went to Blue Lagoon
- On June 29th we slept in Hella in Hotel Kanslarinn: it's a prefab building and it really has everything. There's a restaurant in the hotel, and it's a very good thing
- On June 30th we stayed in Skeiðflötur (it's 9 km far from Vik) in Farmhouse Lodge. So the accomodation is good, but didn't have a good experience. When we arrived, my husband didn't feel good so we were not able to drive to arrive to a restaurant in Vik. I asked if I could eat something (paying what I would have eaten) but they told me that they couldn't do that. Whaaaaat????This was the most expensive room we slept in, and you don't give me some salad???
I don't recommend this farmhouse
- On July 1st we stayed in Hofn, at Arnanes Country Lodge: everyone had a little private "house" all made by wood. I really liked this accomodation; on July 1st we had a tour in Jokulsàrlòn to see icebergs with Ice Lagoon
- On July 2nd we were in Seyðisfjörður and we stayed in Studio Guesthouse Seydisfirdi even here our room was a prefab, and it really had everything we needed.
- On July 3rd we were in Laugar, and we slept in Hotel Reykjadalur I didn't like too much this accomodation, but I don't know why
- On July 4th we were in Akureyri and we stayed at Lamb Inn: it's a very good place to stay, I totally recommend it! On July 4th we had a tour in Husavik to see whales with Gentle Giants (i'm gonna talk about our tour to see whales soon).
- On July 5th we were in Varmahlid and we stayed at Hotel Varmahlid: here, for dinner, I ate the best mushroom soup of my life!!!So so so good!!!
- On July 6th we were in Drangsnes and we stayed at Malarhorn Guesthouse: good place to stay. Here you're far far away from everyone.
- On July 7th we were in Olafsvik and we stayed at Hotel Olafsvik I didn't like it too much when we arrived, because our room was in the depandance. When we arrived in it, we had a wonderful room, so this hotel was a good solution!
- On July 8th we were in Hvannery and we stayed at Hotel Sol: it's a house, normal accomodation
- On July 9th we were in Reykjavik and we stayed at Hotel Gardur: I didn't like too much this accomodation, but it was our last night here....so, no matter! on July 9th we visited a glacier with
Into The Glacier. Cool.

About a month in advance we booked a Suzuki Jimny 4x4 at Reykjavik Rent a Car.
This was a great solution to us.

GENERAL TOUGHTS:
***This was our first trip "on the road" and it hadn't been very relaxing.
Now, I'm happy that we visited Iceland in our honeymoon, but when I was there I sometimes thought myself in a white beach reading a book...
But, Iceland is Iceland, and a trip on the road is one of the best solution for explore this magical country.

***If you don't eat a lot of meat or fish, well, you will have some troubles with your diet in Iceland. All the vegetables are cultivated in greenhouses and they aren't very tasty. Plus they add spices almost everywhere, and I personally don't like strong taste.

***Iceland isn't a very economic place, for accomodations and meal we payed more than we are used to spend.

***Driving in Iceland is very easy, we never got lost!

***Everyone can speak English

See you soon for our first day in Iceland!

***********************************************************************************
Così abbiamo tolto l'impiccio dell'agenzia.

Posto normale e tranquillo. (la colazione non era inclusa)
- la nostra ultima notte in Isalnda, l'abbiamo passata a Reykjavik in un albergo con il bagno in comune...non era malvagia come sistemazione Hotel Gardur; prima di arrivare qui siamo stati a visitare il ghiacciaio con Into The Glacier. Bellissimo.

PENSIERI IN ORDINE SPARSO:

I now have a husband :)

Goooooood morning!!!
It's passed so so so so much time since the last time I wrote here.
Now I am married, but I still introduced my husband as my 'boyfriend', and we're back home from our wonderful honeymoon.
What can I say to you?
Well, everything was wonderful.
The days before wedding were out of control. So many things to do. So many people to see. So much love to share. But it was all good.
The wedding was crazy. It was so so hot. But I wore a wonderful dress (in my personal opinion), I had great hair, and I married the coolest guy in town.
The honeymoon had been perfect. To be honest we didn't have time to relax, but we saw so many wonderful natural places...

So, here's some photos taken by friends of our wedding day!
Of course, I'm gonna tell you everything better, when our 'official' photos will arrive!!
I took this photo before the wedding....after the celebration, I wore Superga's shoes, a gift from my colleagues

Before the wedding....
We're married!!
And the cake!at the end of the evening

My bachelorette party at "Le Fiorine"

Gooood morning everyone!I'm happy to say that I'll be home for a few days!
Today is no-working day, because we remember when Italy became a Republic.

So, today I'm gonna tell you my bachelorette party.
Yes, I did it.
I'm not a huge fan of strip-tese and so on. I hate them. And my bridesmaids know this.
So they took me here.
It's an adventure park, where we walk in a path through the trees....wonderful!

After this, we went to a wonderful restaurant where you can eat the best gnocchi I've ever eaten!!!
We talked, we had a great time.
And this is all I ever wanted for my bachelorette party!

PS: The day after my muscles were crying....

Random thoughts on a Sunday morning

Good morning my friends!!!
It's a sunny Sunday morning, and I really feel fine! I dream of an afternoon spent soaking up the sun...

**My "staying fit" programm is going on...not every day, but when I have some time, you can find me outside biking or walking :)

**I'm a bit busy with the organisation of our wedding: we have to send the invitation to our friends and families, and doing the last things...

**Friday afternoon I took an afternoon out of work...just 4 hours that I spent riding my bike, and meeting people I really like. And I really thought that we're living in a wonderful world.

**Yesterday I unpacked my summer shoes: I was waiting for you, my dear summer (or spring)!!!!

**Thank you friends and sister, for supporting me in this period of my life.... it's probably the best one, but it's a bit stressful, thank God you're by my side!

**Mr and I are planning our Iceland trip....any advice? :)

5 maggio 2016

and it's thursday!

Yesterday after a very long day at work, I came home and, with my Mr, I biked for something like 6 or 7 km.
It's a very full period at work, and when I come home I feel so tired. I hope it will pass! Even because I have to organize our wedding!!! I need more free time! :)
So, have a nice Thursday!

Hump day

Hi my dear friends!!
It's raining cats and dogs, and I'm watching "Letters to Juliet".
I need to visit Verona, as soon as possible! It's such a great city!

By the way, I'm a bit nervous about the wedding: it seems we have so many things to do, and I don't think a month and a half will be enough......

But! Talking about my "moving program", yesterday I walked for 5 km, and tonight I biked for 7,5 km (with my stationary bicycle), I really need to move and to put out my negativity.

Last night I ordered a book about Iceland: the author of this blog, suggests this to me: while she's going to travel in a country, she tries to read something about it. It's a very good idea!!!
So, have a great night, my friends!

Photo taken in Italy before travelling to Copehagen, 4 years ago!

Oh no, Monday again

Gooood morning!
Happy rainy and cold Monday!
This is the perfect weather for staying at home, and don't leave the bed....
But, I'm going to wash myself, put on some make-up, dress on and start this new week.
So, on Friday and Saturday I didn't exercise, I really don't have the time.
Yesterday I walked for 5 km with my Mr, and, ça va sans dire, it was better then walked alone.
Wonderful drawing, taken here

29 aprile 2016

My purpose - it goes on ;)

My "moving program" is going on!
On Thursday I waked for 5 km, and yesterday evening I biked for 8 km.
Having this blog and sharing with you what I do, helps me.
I don't know if I would go on with my purpose without my little corner in the web!

So, here is cold. Very very cold. Weather probably spyed me last Saturday, while I was changing my winter wardrobe to spring and summer.....
But, today is Friday!!!On Saturday I'm going to a wedding, so.....this will be a great weekend!
Have a great Friday, my dear!

My purpose (I forgot the day)

A very quick update! :)
Yesterday I came back to work....bad mood....I don't wanna be negative, so I'll write nothing about it....
After work I went to do my first manicure!!!!Well, isn't it great?I don't think I will keep it for looong time, I like having nail polish, but after some days I get bored of it...do you feel the same?
When I came back home, I bike with my exercise bike for 7 km, while I was watching 500 days.
Finger crossed today at work will be better!
Bye!!!!

25 aprile 2016

My purpose and a collaboration!

Happy Monday evening my friends!
Another night is passed without Mr, the last one, because he's coming home! Yahooo!!!
To be honest these days are flown, but I'm so so so happy he will be here in a couple of hours :)
I'm watching at "Eat, pray, love", Julia Roberts is really great, now she's in Italy, and she's eating!

About my purpose...yesterday and today I walked for 5 km, I really feel fine and great!I hope you're finding some time for moving too, because now that I do it, I'm asking myself "how could I spend the whole winter without execise a bit?"

And last but not least!
I'm collaborating with my friend Stefania of "Xle SoRelle"! I'm excited, because she creates wonderful jewels, and she has a lot of creativity!!!
I hope this collaboration will last a lot!
And stay tuned for the first giveaway!!!

My purpose - days 5 and 6

Happy rainy Sunday my dear friends!
So, Friday no exercise: Mr, my mum and I went to the florist, and we talked about the flowers we will use for our wedding. Then a dinner with friends, and so I had no time for walking/biking/running.
On Saturday, I walked 1,000 km looking for the perfect dress to wear at the weddings I'm gonna have the next weekends. And I didn't find it. I don't know what I'll wear. I'll probably have a crush. Someday.
Plus, the night that is passed I slept without my Mr. He's at a bachelor party of a friend of us, in Belgium.
This was the first night I slept without him, and home alone. Home is different, without him. I hope Monday evening will arrive soon. This is the first time I wish Monday evening will arrive soon.
Have a nice Sunday!!!

Ah, yesterday I bought this book... :)

22 aprile 2016

My purpose - day 4

Friday....what a magic word!!!
Today, last day of work for this week, and the weekend will have an extra day because here in Italy April 25th is a festivity day.
But, let's talk about yesterday....
I came home at 7:20 pm, because I went to the store market. I really wanted to stay at home for making dinner and other stuff....but! I took my bike and I ride for 7 km.
I took my "purpose" seriously, and do you know? at evening I'm exhausted, but very happy.
So, have a nice earth-day, friends!!

21 aprile 2016

My purpose - day 3

Goood morning!!!
So yesterday I biked for 11 km!!! :)
It took me an hour, and I felt great!
Why did I start this purpose only now???
By the way, I have a little advice for you: if you bike, don't sing. Some mosquitos can think that your mouth is a pleasent place to visit :)
Mr, summer 2014

20 aprile 2016

My purpose - day 2

Day 2 of my staying fit-project.
I had no time for walking/biking/running because I had a great dinner with friends.
But today I'm gonna bike double.
This is gonna be a gooooood day! :)

Have a great day my friend!
We're already hump day!
My friend Anna and I biking along San Candido Lienz cycling line

19 aprile 2016

My purpose

Gooood morning!!!!

So starting from yesterday, I wanna walk/run/bike for at least 5 km every day.
I spend the most part of my days sitting in front of a pc, I gained some pounds, but, first of all I don't feel fine.
So I decided that I have to move, and this will be my daily diary!
If you wanna join me, well you're welcome!

For now, have a nice Tuesday!

What I saw yesterday during my stroll :)
